WINDHAM — The Lake Region Knights of Columbus will hold its fifth annual Chili/Chowder Cook Off Saturday, Jan. 11, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 919 Roosevelt Traii. The organization is seeking home and professional chefs to show off their talents in this fun event, which raises money to support seminarians in the Portland Diocese.
Cooks will need to make enough chili or chowder to provide about 60 3-ounce samples. Attendees will sample the food, and the winner will take home a cool plaque, some serious bragging rights and lots of publicity. There is no cost to enter the cook off.
The Lake Region Knights includes members from Bridgton, Fryeburg, Naples, Casco, Raymond, Standish and Windham. Anyone interested in competing should contact Dave Spada at spada.dave@gmail.com or 207- 595-8775.
