Wood carving demonstration at Maine State Museum Dec. 14

AUGUSTA — Members of the Maine Wood Carvers Association will dispaly their work from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, be in the atrium of the Maine State Museum, 230 State St.
Participating members will be displaying examples of their finished work, as well as demonstrating wood carving techniques, from carving spoons to bas-relief, as well as carving in the round.
Children can try their hands at soap carving, all materials and equipment will be provided.
There is free admission to the event and the Maine State Museum all day.
