Cancer Center has free hats, mittens and more for those affected by cancer

NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has a large inventory of new winter hats, as well as neck warmers, shawls, and afghans for anyone who is impacted by cancer.
A corps of volunteers knit, crocheted and sewed items for the center so it can offer them for free. The center is at 199 Main St., and information on hours and more can be found at www.crcofwm.org.
The center also reminds that anyone having trouble keeping their home warm may take advantage of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program provides money to low income homeowners and renters to help pay heating costs. The program is not intended to pay for all heating costs, but to assist in paying the heating bills.
