Dirigo Federal Credit Union welcomes two new managers

LEWISTON — Dirigo Federal Credit Union recently hired two new employees to their management staff to fill previously open positions within the company. Christopher Bouchard and Ryan Thompson joined Dirigo FCU in August 2019 as chief operations officer and Auburn branch manager, respectively. Bouchard and Thompson bring with them a combined 24 years of experience in the financial services industry. The addition of these two managers allows Dirigo FCU to better serve the membership of Androscoggin and Oxford counties through their skills and expertise in operations, management and mortgage loan originating.
Bouchard will oversee the call center, deposit operations department and lending operations staff. The position includes developing, executing and managing the operations strategy, directing team operations, mentoring staff, and effectively communicating vision and objectives both internally as well as externally with credit union members. Bouchard holds a bachelor of science in business administration and management from University of Maine. He volunteers his time on Auburn’s CDBG Loan Committee and focuses on youth development through local sports. He lives in Auburn with his wife and three children.
Thompson will direct the full service and operations of the Auburn location. He will ensure the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service and growth plans. He will be responsible for the delivery of superior quality member service while adhering to regulatory and policy guidelines through personal service and supervision of direct reporting staff. He will also be originating and evaluating mortgage loans and will be able to advise borrowers on financial status and methods of payment. Thompson and his wife recently welcomed a baby boy.
