Mount Blue Area Garden Club Oct. 15 talk topic is butterflies

FARMINGTON — The Mount Blue Area Garden Club will once again host Ronald Butler, who will speak about butterflies. The public is welcome to attend the meeting, which will begin with a social half hour at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Farmington Falls Road.
Butler in the past has shared his knowledge of native bees and dragonflies and damselflies.” He is a professor of ecology at the University of Maine Farmington. Many members requested his return to share his knowledge of butterflies and their importance to the environment.
The social half hour will be followed by a short business meeting and then Butler’s presentation. Hostesses Annette Tripp, Regina Longyear and Mary Blatt will provide light refreshments. For more information, call 207-778-4158.
