RAYMOND — Country music performer Joni Harms will be in concert 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Raymond Village Church, 27 Main St.
Don Roy and Jay West will accompany Harms and her daughter Olivia.
Harms has built a career on two-stepping, toe-tapping shuffles and swing songs. She writes about rodeo, cowboys and the ranch way of living, but her favorite kind of songs to write are ballads or story songs. Her signature cowboy hat and boots are imore than a fashion statement. Harms lives on a century farm in Oregon that was homesteaded by her great great-grandfather in 1872.
Harms has earned multiple honors from the Western Music Association and the Academy of Western Artists. She has also performed at the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall.
The show is sponsored by the Raymond Arts Alliance. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. There will be an intermission with light refreshments and an opportunity to buy CDs. A $10 donation is suggested. For more information visit www.raymondvillage library.org/raa-events.
