Augusta monthly ‘Death Talk’ group begins Sept. 19 at UUC church

AUGUSTA — Death Talk-Augusta, an informal monthly gathering that provides a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for people to gather to discuss death and dying meets once a month in the Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Augusta Drew House, 6 Summer St.
Church members and friends, as well as members of the wider community, are welcome. Death Talk gatherings, which are appropriate for those age 16 and up, occur around the world under various names. They are agenda-free conversations that are free and open to the public.
The meetings are from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, Oct. 17 and Nov. 21, with subsequent sessions every third Thursday of the month. No RSVP is necessary.
