Garlic, belly dance workshops to be held in Rangeley

RANGELEY — Workshops that teach how to grow great garlic and explore the history, culture and health benefits of the belly dance will be featured in Rangeley Sept. 18 and 19.
“Belly Dance Unveiled: The History, Culture and Health Benefits of Middle Eastern Dance,” with Liz Pimentel will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Rangeley Public Library, 7 Lake St.
This is a multimedia presentation that includes a slideshow, lecture, music, demonstration, and audience participation. All ages welcome. Fee is a suggested $10 donation.
“Learn how to Grow Great Garlic,” with David Fuller, will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Red Onion, 2511 Main St.
Garlic is an easy-to-grow fall planted crop that is great for you and makes almost everything taste better. Learn all aspects of garlic culture. Participants will receive four bulbs of garlic to plant and garlic soup will be served. There is a fee to attend.
