Free October confidence, career and money workshops offered

LEWISTON — New Ventures Maine has announced their October workshop offerings that are designed to help build personal power, prepare for next careers and manage money.
Building Confidence, a hands-on class intended for people who would like to tap their full potential, starts at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct, 16, and runs for three consecutive weeks at Lewiston Auburn College, 51 Westminster St. Body posture and language, taming fears, mindfulness and retraining the inner criti are all addressed.
Resume writing and interview preparation are explored in First Impressions Matter. This is an experiential workshop for people who are ready to create or update a strong resume and to become a solid candidate during the interview process. It’s offered from 1:30 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, also at LAC.
Money management is offered in Your Money Personality, Thursday, Oct. 3, and in a more traditional class, Budgeting Basics onWednesday, Oct. 16. Both will be held in the early evening.
