TURNER — Music for Mavis Tuesdays at the Gazebo has hosted a summer of toe-tapping music by a wide array of musicians, with more set for September.
Music ranged from New Gloucester’s Balld Hill Band, starting off the season through Denny Breau, The LaBlank family band, Hurry Down Sunshine, Stan and Brian, Kevin Libby, Robbie Coffin, Frank Thibideau, Christine Paulson, Tim Bishop and more. Music ranged from country to folk to French-Canadian to rock and more.
The organizers thank the community for supporting their endeavor to make Mavis’ dream continue to keep coming true, and to bring the community together through music.
September will bring three more great acts, with an earlier start time, 6 p.m.
The September schedule is:
Sept. 3 — The Cobblestones, (acoustic) with M&M Plourde, C. Constanzi,and T, Simmons.
Sept 10 — Hot Damn, with Norm and Deb Pelletier (country classic-rock).
Sept 17 — The Only Hope, a group of high school musicians playing music from the 50s; and Mary Murphy (jazz/blues on the piano, ukulele).
