Raymond Village Community Church invites public to free smorgasbord lunch Aug. 20

RAYMOND — Raymond Village Community Church will hold a free Super Summer Salad Smorgasbord Luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The community is invited to a chance to celebrate summer with long-time friends and neighbors, form new friendships, and simply enjoy a lunch you don’t have to prepare yourself, organizers said.
“So many people in the Lakes Region spend the summer entertaining and feeding family and friends,” said RVCC pastor, the Rev. Nancy Foran. “And while this is certainly a joy, occasionally it’s nice to kick back and let someone else serve you. So please, come be our guest!”
She said it’s a “smorgasbord” because there will be a wide variety of classic summer foods, including egg salad, tuna salad, potato salad, green salad, jello salad and others, plus a cool and refreshing dessert.
“Whether you are a year-round resident, a summer person, or just visiting the area for the first time, please plan to attend,” she said.
She said invitation is especially extended to seniors.
The luncheon will take place in the church vestry. The entrance is right off the parking lot and is handicapped accessible.
Raymond Village Community Church is at 27 Main St., one half mile off U.S. Route 302.
