TURNER — Turner Public Library will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, beginning with a social mixer, in the Community Room of the Leavitt Institute building, 98 Matthews Way.
It is the library’s annual report to the community and a chance for residents to find out what’s new and how the library’s year went.
The public is welcome and encouraged by the library to attend, and find out how to become more involved with the library. Information on new volunteer opportunities will be presented, and attendees will have time to learn about and sign up for the projects and programs made possible by community volunteers.
The corporators, volunteers who have voting rights on library elections, will vote on perspective members for the board of trustees as well as electing new corporators nominated by our staff, board and volunteers. The business portion of the meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and should conclude by 8 p.m.
Refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 207-225-2030.
