RUMFORD – Mahoosuc Land Trust member Dan Elliott will once again provide local knowledge and humor while leading the annual Gourmet Hike to the top of Whitecap Saturday, Aug. 3.
The 4.6-mile hike is moderately paced, requires sturdy shoes and takes around 2.5 hours for the group to reach the top.
Once there, a potluck gourmet lunch (bring something to share) will be enjoyed by all. Past hikes have featured fruit kabobs, salmon and rich chocolate brownies.
Participants are asked to meet in the Whitecap parking lot, 52 E. Andover Road, no later than 8:45 a.m. for a prompt 9 a.m. start.
