BRIDGTON — The Mount Washington Valley Choral Society will perform a choral concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 at the chapel of Bridgton Academy, 11 Academy Lane.
Donations will be accepted at the door. The MWV Choral Society is made up of about 50 singers under the direction of George Wiese, accompanied by Nancy Farris, of Bridgton.
The chorale will sing some well-known and some lesser known choral music, designed to be a festive and fun summer concert. In the past, the Choral Society has undertaken some major works such as Handel’s “Messiah” and Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”
