SEBAGO — The Lake Region Aquarium Society will be going on a collecting trip, searching for native aquatic plants in the Lake Region Saturday, July 21, beginning at noon, The group will be joined by Sam Rutka, an expert at aquascaping and paludariums — a type of vivarium incorporating both terrestrial and aquatic elements.
Rutka works at Easy Aquariums in Gorham as well as the New England Aquarium in Boston. He was recently featured in Amazonas — an international aquarium magazine. The group will be meeting in front of the Spaulding Memorial Library, 282 Sebago Road, and heading out from there. There is no charge, and all are welcome to attend.
