UMA celebrates 30 years of distance education July 17

AUGUSTA — The University of Maine at Augusta will celebrate 30 years of distance education in a statewide event from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 17.
Included in the event will be those who helped develop Maine’s largest distance education network, friends, students, faculty and alumni as well as an opportunity to learn about this revolutionary educational development in 1989, its evolution as technologies improved, and its strong future in fulfilling UMA’s mission of making education accessible to all.
