HEBRON — Robert Spencer, vice president of the Waterford Historical Society, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Hebron Historical Society, discussing the story of a young woman living in Waterford after the Civil War.
The information comes from a letter discovered in the society’s archives. Spencer will explain how he researched the story for his novel, “The Spinsters Hope Chest.”
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at the Town Office, 351 Paris Road. The public is invited. For more information, call 207-966-2023.
