Marketing on Social Media topic of two-session workshop June 14, 21

AUBURN — The Center for Workforce & Professional Development at Central Maine Community College will offer a two-session workshop on social media marketing from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, June 14 and 21.
By the end of 2018, there were 65 million local business pages on Facebook; eighty-nine percent of B2B marketers included LinkedIn in their digital marketing mix; and 37 percent of consumers said that social networks are their biggest source of persuasion for making purchases.
This social media workshop will include a brief overview of the major social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Also included will be a discussion of topics such as demographic breakdowns, preferred types of content, which platforms are best for specific industries, how to build a business page, and how to run an ad or boost a post.
