MOUNT VERNON — The annual bird walk, with Nick Lund from the Maine Audubon Society, will take place at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 12.
The walk is sponsored by the 30 Mile River Watershed Association and Dr. Shaw Memorial Library. It starts and ends at the library.
Those participating should bring a pair of binoculars, a notebook to record bird sightings, waar clothing suitable for an outdoor hike around downtown Mount Vermone and bring a friend. The walk is around the village, and then end at the library for a discussion of birds that were seen.
There is parking available at the library, the Masonic Hall and the Community Center.
