Kennebec Land Trust June events highlighted

WINTHROP — The Kennebec Land Trust has highlighted several events planned for June.
The Lyceum Field Trip/Maine Entomological Society Field Day at Hutchinson Pond Conservation Area in Manchester will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1.
Maine Entomological Society members will lead an outing to explore insects at Hutchinson Pond. Participants will explore together and expand KLT’s knowledge of the insect fauna of this property.
Amateurs and more experienced entomologists are all welcome to join the outing. Bring bug repellent, collecting gear, lunch, drinks and anything else you may need for the day. No registration necessary; call KLT with questions, 207-377-2848.
Natural History Week at Bearnstow, in Mount Vernon will be June 16 to 21 and July 1, with evening lecture presentations and morning nature walks by visiting naturalists.
KLT holds a conservation easement on Bearnstow’s 65-acre campus on Parker Pond.

there will be a Property Pedal Bike Tour Saturday, June 22. The Kennebec Valley Bike Club and KLT will lead a tour highlighting a number of KLT’s most scenic properties.
