Western Maine Art Group plans two-location reception June 7

NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group continues its spring season with a two-location reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the Main Street Gallery, 426 Main St., and the Matolcsy Art Center, 480 Main St.
The galleries exhibit the work of fine artists and artisans living and working in Western Maine.
At the Main Street Gallery, June’s featured artist of the month is Erica Christensen. Her love of nature dictates what she chooses to paint.
Seascapes, landscapes, flowers and birds are among her favorites. The Main Street Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
At the nearby Matolcsy Art Center, Emily Wentworth will host the opening of an exhibit of her work from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Wentworth has studied printmaking in the U.S., Scotland and France. Wentworth will give an artist talk on the printmaking process at the Matolcsy Art Center at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15. Both of these events are free to the public.
