Androscoggin Senior Resouce Fair is June 19 in Lewiston

LEWISTON — The Androscoggin Elder Abuse Task Force will host its 10th annual Senior Resource Fair Wednesday, June 19, in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The informational event will offer a chance to learn about local resources and services and provide an opportunity to socialize with fellow seniors.

The resource fair will feature a variety of speakers on topics related to aging, safety and wellness as well as information tables from local organizations working with seniors. This year’s keynote speaker will be Marilyn Gugliucci.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 19 at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

A free lunch and morning refreshments will be provided, and prizes will be raffled off. This year’s resource fair is sponsored by United Ambulance, Community Credit Union, the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Seniors Plus and the Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter.
The Androscoggin Elder Abuse Task Force is a community partnership dedicated to ending elder abuse, generating resources, educating the community and advocating to meet the needs of elder abuse victims.
