Norlands seeks vendors, crafters for Civil War Living History Weekend

LIVERMORE — The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center is seeking experienced artisans, crafters and re-enactors to demonstrate or sell original craft during its Historic Crafters & Exhibitors Fair.

The fair is a significant portion of Rally for Norlands: Civil War Living History Weekend, which will be June 22 and 23.
The fair is open to artisans who handcraft items or demonstrate craft using traditional 19th-century (or earlier time period) materials or methods, such as fiber arts, pottery and woodworking. Civil War Sutlers who sell period wares and authors of relevant books are also welcome. If you think your work fits the criteria and time period, please Norlands. Historical societies and museums are also welcome to exhibit or demonstrate antiques, collections or share educational materials. Norlands is not seeking food vendors.
The Civil War Living History Weekend features a wide variety of living history activities with more than 150 Confederate, Union and civilian re-enactors, which usuallly draws more than 1,000 visitors from around New England.
Participating crafters and exhibitors receive two complimentary weekend passes to the event, which is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday (tentative times). Exhibitors and vendors are expected to stay until closing. All will be recognized in press releases about the event, on the Norlands website, and on the event program.
All proceeds, including vendor application fees, directly benefit the Norlands, which is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization.
To apply, complete and return the application form found on Norlands website, norlands.org. The early bird date for discounted rate is May 17; the deadline for applications is June 5. For more information, contact Norlands at 207-897-4366 or norlands@norlands.org.
