Two major projects in Belgrade Lakes have started up again now that spring is here. The Main Street reconstruction (photo below), which began after Labor Day and was halted when winter weather began, will continue until the end of June, when it will be halted again through July and August. The road is being widened by the state Department of Transportation, and sidewalks, granite curbing and other elements are being added. The project runs through the village, from the intersection of West Road and Main Street north to the bridge just beyond Day’s Store. Work resumed on the Village Green project, (top photo) which includes a gazebo, in a project that began last fall. Voters at town meeting in March voted to accept the park, which will be landscaped and include benches and more. The Village Green is at the intersection of West Road and Main Street at the south end of the village. (Maureen Milliken photos)
