Emerge Maine’s McCurry to speak at Franklin County meeting May 5

FARMINGTON — Ashley McCurry, executive director of Emerge Maine, will be one of the guest speakers at the Franklin County Democratic Committee, which meets from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at Mallett School.

Kathleen Marra, the newly elected chairwoman of the Maine Democratic Party, will be a guest speaker, along with McCurry, whose organization is committed to training and electing women candidates.
Other business includes electing representatives to the state platform and credentials committees as well as discussion of bills pending before the state legislature and strategic planning for the year ahead.
