Earth Day cleanup at Pettingill School Park is April 20

LEWISTON — The Friends of Pettingill is seeking volunteers for an Earth Day cleanup project from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Pettingill School Park on College Street.

Volunteers will be weeding the pathways and gardens, distributing mulch and hauling away any trash that has accumulated. It’s also a great opportunity to meet your friends and neighbors while participating in a worthwhile and rewarding experience from which all of us will benefit. Feel free to bring a rake, weed digger or similar tools, but there will also be some on hand to use.
