AUBURN — The Edward Little HS Concert Band will be joining the University of Maine Symphonic Band in presenting a concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in the Edward Little HS gymnasium.
Admission is free.
The performance is part of the University of Maine Band’s spring tour through central Maine. The UMaine Symphonic Band consists of 55 musicians and is conducted by Christopher White, Associate Conductor Philip Edelman and Assistant Conductor, Erik Paulsen.
The Symphonic Band program will be chosen from standard concert band literature as well as some more modern pieces and will feature two student solo competition winners — Mason Duplissie on trombone and Brandon Emerson on trumpet.
The Edward Little HS band consists of 35 musicians and is conducted by Bill Buzza. The ELHS band will be performing movements from Gustav Holst’s classic “Second Suite in F for Military Band” as well as a modern piece by composer Robert W. Smith. For more information, call 333-6652 ext. 2763.
