Letters for Literacy Scrabble Fest will be April 28 in Lewiston

LEWISTON — The Literacy Volunteers Androscoggin’s annual Letters for Literacy Scrabble Fest will be Sunday, April 28.
The tournament, which raises money for the organization, features teams of four collaborating over the same letter tray to try and outscore another four-person team.

Deadline to register is Monday, April 22. Participants can either form a four-person team or register as an individual an be matched with a team that needs a player. Those who are serious about their Scrabble skills are encouraged to register in the Pro division, while more relaxed players should choose the Social category. Players collect pledges to benefit adult literacy services in Androscoggin County, and the top fundraisers have a wonderful array of prizes to choose from.
The tournament will be from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Carriage House Plus, 1119 Lisbon St. There will be refreshments and prizes.
Lewiston Region Technical Center student Isabella Doucette-St. Onge won the competition to design this years logo.
