CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Outdoors author Greg Westrich will present a slideshow and talk on his “Top Ten Maine Hikes” at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library and Community Center.
Westrich said he will include some favorites as well as some little-known gems in the talk. He is the author of five hiking guides, the most recent being “Best Hikes in Baxter State Park.”
Since 2013, he’s mapped more than 500 hikes in Maine and 100 in New Hampshire. Westrich has also published more than fifty articles and stories in newspapers, anthologies and magazines, and written about everything from backyard mushrooms to wedding traditions in Aroostook County.
