Lewiston’s Beaudin earns third UCHC rookie of the week award

ELMIRA, N.Y. — Eliza Beaudin, of Lewiston, Maine, was one of two Elmira College students to earn United Collegiate Hockey Conference weekly awards for the week of Feb. 12.

Beaudin, class of 22, was crowned the Rookie of the Week and teammate Maddy Jerolman, class of 2019 was tabbed the Player of the Week.
Both Jerolman and Beaudin collected four points, as the No. 1/2-ranked Soaring Eagles swept a home-and-home series from Utica. In addition to winning both games, Elmira clinched the UCHC regular-season title for the second consecutive season, improving to 16-0-0 in conference with two games remaining and solidifying home-ice advantage throughout the upcoming UCHC Tournament.
Beaudin (3g-1a) received her third UCHC Rookie of the Week award after extending her point streak to 10 consecutive games her goal streak to five in a row. On Friday, she provided an assist on Elmira’s first goal and netted the eventual game-winner on the power play. The following afternoon, she potted a power-play goal at 14:51, before recording the game-winning tally at the 18:53 mark of the first period.
