Children’s book author to talk at Carrabassett Valley Library March 9

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Author Amanda Given will talk about her children’s book, “Balloon Breath,” at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, in the Begin Room at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library, 3209 Carrabassett Drive.

The story will help children, young or old, open up and learn to deal with their feelings.
Lonnie is sick and tired of his brother Curly teasing him. It makes him so mad he feels like he is going to explode. Luckily, his favorite babysitter Scarlett comes over and saves the day by teaching him all about the Balloon Breath. Inhale…good; Exhale…bad
Author Given is the owner of Govinda Yoga Play, a yoga teacher, a meditation practitioner and a speech language pathologist. After her own 10-year personal journey with depression and oversensitivity, she found purpose in writing and teaching yoga/meditation to children. Given is a child at heart with a grown-up soul.
