Central Maine students named to Colby dean’s list

WATERVILLE — Students from Bowdoin, Fayette and Hebron were recently named to the dean’s list at Colby College for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year.

Carolyn Wright, of Fayette, Hannah Hartnett, of Hebron, and Kaitlin Volk, of Bowdoin were among 538 Colby students — or 26 percent of the qualified student body — to qualify for the dean’s list last semester. All three earned a 3.77 grade point average or higher to qualify.
Wright, a member of the class of 2019, attended Maranacook Community School in Readfield, and is the daughter of James and Mary Wright of Fayette. She majors in music-interdisciplinary computation.
Hartnett, a member of the class of 2021, attended Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is the daughter of Patrick and Tracey Hartnett, of Hebron. She majors in mathematical sciences with a concentration in statistics.
Volk, a member of the class of 2019, attended Mount Ararat High School in Topsham and is the daughter of Ronald and Lisa Volk of Bowdoin. She majors in biology with a concentration in ecology and evolution and environmental science.
