AUBURN — Uplift LA will host Magnetize Maine 2019 on Friday, March 29, a discussion of how companies and employees can increase collaboration, creativity and connectivity in the workplace to keep younger employees actively engaged in their industry.
The Magnetize Maine Summit is a recurring collaborative effort across multiple areas of the state, and this session is coordinated by the Realize Maine Network, with sponsorship from the Maine Development Foundation and the LA Metro Chamber. The event will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch, 14 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn.
With Maine’s aging workforce on the brink of retirement, the opportunity to transform Maine’s future work environment and inspire younger workers to remain in the state is a priority.
Speakers will be David Pease from Bangor Savings Bank, who is also an adjunct faculty member at Thomas College, where he researches, designs and delivers graduate human resources courses; and Ian Dorsey, Andrew Geaghan and Luke Livingston, from the Maine Brewers Guild.
Afternoon interactive conversations will stimulate further discussions and methods of implementing these ideas in any industry.
