LEWISTON — The city’s Downtown Art District will host an art crawl, where residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a free evening of art, music, flowers, massage and wine from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.
The Union of Maine Visual Artists – Lewiston Auburn Chapter is putting on its fourth annual “For the Love of Art” art crawl. The event is a great way to spend an evening out in Lewiston celebrating the upcoming Valentine’s Day. Seven venues from Canal to Lisbon streets will participate in the event, which promises to awaken all your senses with art (sight), music (sound), taste (chocolate and other goodies), touch (massage) and smell (flowers).
Each venue will also have its own theme of love, featuring an artist or group of artists. Wicked Illustrations Studio and Gallery will be showing work form a Michigan-based artist, Eve York Mormino, who works in oil and uses a process she calls intuitive painting.
The event is free and open to the public.
