Lewiston state legislators invite constituents to monthly meetings

LEWISTON — The city’s delegates to the Maine Legislature will hold public office hours one Saturday each month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lewiston Public Library’s Couture Room.

The delegation includes Sen. Nate Libby, D-Lewiston, senate majority leader, and Reps. Heidi Brooks, D-District 61; Kristen Cloutier, D-District 60; Margaret Craven, D-District 59; and Jim Handy, D-District 58, all of whom will be in attendance.
Public office hours provide residents a chance to meet with their elected officials, ask questions and get help with legislative or state government matters.
The delegation will give updates on its work on policy committees and give a preview of the legislative session to come. All are welcome to attend, ask questions, and get answers. To RSVP on Facebook, visit www.facebook.com/events/339353256918245/.
The public office hours will be held monthly throughout the year on the fourth Saturday of each month. Exceptions to are May, when they will be held on the third Saturday to allow for recognition of Memorial Day, and December, when the fourth Saturday falls in the middle of the holiday season.
Upcoming dates are Feb. 23, March 23, April 27, May 18, June 22, July 27, Aug. 24, Sept. 28, Oct. 26 and Nov. 23.
