Comedy ‘Super Lola’ is Jan. 28 movie at Franco Center

LEWISTON — The January film in the Gendron Franco Center’s French Film TV5MONDE-Days, “Super Lola,” will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28.
All films in the year-long series are in French with English subtitles. They are free and open to the public. Donations are accepted to benefit the center, 46 Cedar St.

“Super Lola,” is a 2013 made-for-TV French comedy from France, and follows the adventures of visiting nurse Lola, whose chronic shyness and her fear of heights make daily life difficult. Circumstances transform her into a masked heroine.
She intrigues Laurent, a modest freelancer, who dreams of being an investigative journalist, blissfully unaware that behind the mask is his wife Lola.
All movies in the series are provided by TV5MONDE USA and are shown with permission from the Franco Center season underwriter. TV5MONDE is the global French language entertainment network, broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week without commercial interruptions — offering television programs from France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada.
