FAYETTE — Underwood Memorial Library will hold a ribbon cutting to celebrate a new adult reading room, which was supported with a $1,000 grant from the Maine Community Fund.
The library Board of Trustees and Director Evelyn Feagin and assistant Michele Briggs have been planning and working on improvements within the library for months.
The grant paid for room improvements and the furnishings for the new area.
A ribbon-cutting will be held to celebrate the new space at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the library, 2006 Main St. Light refreshments will be served.
