PARIS — The Norway Lake annual Ice Fishing Derby will be from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, on Norway Lake.
All derby participants will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize, and other prizes will be awarded for longest fish and heaviest fish. Registration and refreshments for sale are at the Little Red Schoolhouse, Route 118.
The derby is sponsored by the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary and is part of OHills Reads, a community-wide read, and related to the book “The Seventh Wish,” by Kate Messner (Bloomsbury, 2016), which has an ice-fishing theme.
Residents are invited to pick up a copy and read along.
