BRIDGTON — Lakes Region Recovery Center is holding weekly ongoing writing workshops and parenting during recovery groups in the new year.
The creative writing workshop is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. every Friday, and explores how putting pen to paper can be a healing and useful tool in recovery. Group topic and structure will vary weekly depending on participants. Those who would like to participate may drop in to any session.
Parenting During Recovery is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Monday, and is for parents and those who have taken on a parental role while being affected by substance use disorder. Participants may share, as well as learn new skills to help not only themselves but those they care for. Groups will vary based on attendee’s needs.
There is no fee to attend either session.
