In keeping with the celebration of fitness this month (and since it is also basketball season), the movie “Hoosiers,” tells the story of a small-town Indiana high school basketball team that wins the state championship. The movie is loosely based on the Milan High School team that won the 1954 state championship. The movie is for teens ages 12 to 18, and will include snacks.
The Library Advisory Board will meet from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Edward Little High School llibrary, and 2:30 to 3:30 Wednesday Jan. 30, in the Auburn Public Library Teen Space.
The board is a joint venture between the Auburn Public Library and the library at Edward Little, with a mission is to create more awareness of and collaboration between both libraries, promoting everything the libraries offer to the teens in the community. The board meets every other week, alternating between the Auburn Public Library and Edward Little. Teens interested in joining should be between the ages of 12 and 18, interested in community involvement and a lover of the library. They do not have to be a student at Eward Little to participate.
