AUGUSTA — Some 227 years ago, Congress ratified the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution that are the foundation of freedom, ensuring U.S. civil rights and personal liberties.
The First Amendment Museum is celebrating with a Bill of Rights birthday bash, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Gannett House, 184 State St.
There will be cake, light refreshments, and Bill of Rights trivia and games.
General parking will available in the lower lot off Higgins Street, and accessible parking in the lot next to the museum.
