WILTON — The Western Maine Play Museum fifth annual board meeting Dec. 3, noting several changes to the 13-member board, including the additions of Kate Cook Whitt and Jesse Potts; Lindsay Coolidge is slated to be inducted during the January meeting.
The meeting was held in the building, still under construction, which will eventually house the museum. Additionally, the following officers were elected to lead the board for the next year — Lori Lewis as president, Marylena Chaisson as vice president, Dr. Gabriel Civiello as treasurer, and Jessica Lewis as secretary. This is a first change in leadership for the positions of president and treasurer — founding members Angela McLeod and Nicole Knowles — who previously held those positions.
As Western Maine Play Museum continues its steady progress toward opening to the public, it remains committed to raising the funds needed to hire an executive director in the new year and filling out exhibit spaces with thoughtfully chosen items that will surprise and delight little and big visitors alike.
Western Maine Play Museum can be supported in its efforts through direct donations on their gofundme page: www.gofundme.com/WesternMainePlay or through online shopping by purchasing needed exhibit items on their exhibit registry wish list at www.myregistry.com/giftlist/westernmaineplaymuseum.
Additionally, donations may be directly by mailing to WMPM, P.O. Box 1161, Wilton, ME 04294.
