Norway’s The Table schedules Free Friday Fun nights for December

NORWAY — Formed by members of the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, the Norway Grange and friends from the community, The Table serves breakfast free of charge 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays at the Norway Grange, 15 Whitman St.
Over the last two and a half years, the number of people served at the breakfasts has grown to around 70 people, who are able to enjoy fellowship over a meal.

In addition to providing free breakfasts and conducting a clothing giveaway twice a year, one of The Table’s goals is to provide chemical-free and safe activities for all ages within the community. To that end, the following Free Friday Fun nights have been scheduled for December.
The Table will offer Open Mic Night Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Grange hall. Pizza, popcorn and beverages are usually served during the open mic nights at no charge.
The Table will serve a free chili dinner Dec. 7, and Dec. 21 will feature Christmas caroling. Plans call for a group to leave the Grange and carol down Main Street Norway, while people who want to stay warm will sing inside. The usual pizza, popcorn and drinks will be served. Those participating are encouraged to wear their Christmas sweater.
Open Mic will be replaced with a movie night Dec. 28. The showing at the Grange hall will include popcorn.
