Lewiston Regional Technical Students use digital art to create calendars

LEWISTON — Students at Lewiston Regional Technical Center’s multimedia program have created digital artwork and used it to illustrate calendars, as well as framed prints, that they are selling to raise money to attend the SkillsUSA conference.

The high school juniors and seniors created landscapes by using fruit and vegetables for their images. Evergreen Printing of Auburn printed the calendars, which display different images in order to show off as much student work as possible.
Proceeds will help pay for the students’ trip to a SkillsUSA conference next year and for supply costs of future projects. SkillsUSA is a career and technical student organization.
The 2019 calendar can be bought either as a wall calendar for $10 or as a two-year desk calendar for $15. Framed prints are for sale for $40 at the Green Ladle, 156 East Ave.
For more information about buying the calendars, call the LRTC main office at 207-795-4144.
