BBB warns Maine consumers of common online holiday scams

Santa isn’t the only one keeping track of who is naughty and who is nice. The Better Business Bureau iis warning consumers to beware of common holiday scams. The bureau urges consumers to be cautious shopping online.
Some things to look out for are:

* Look-alike websites
* Fake shipping notifications
* E-cards
* Letters from Santa
* Emergency scam
* Phony charities
* Temporary holiday jobs
* Unusual forms of payment
* Free gift cards
* Social media gift exchanges.
