Auburn Public Library adds Tech Tuesday program

AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library’s teen calendar for December includes a new activity, including Tech Tuesdays in the Media Lab.
Tech Tuesdays in the Media Lab will be 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the Media Lab, in this new program, the first session will be learning about Photos, which is Apple’s photography app to help keep photos organized.

Those taking part whould bring photos in any format — on a camera, a memory card, flash drive, CD, DVD or the photo itself. Learn how to import photos to organize and create albums, or to digitize photos, putting them onto a CD as a Christmas gift. The program is for teens and adults and, because of the size of the room, space is limited. To register, contact the Reference Desk at 333-6640, ext. 4.
The December Matinee Movie will be “Just Friends” (PG-13), and will be 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, in the Androscoggin Community Room.
The comedy, stars Ryan Reynolds (Chris) and Amy Smart (Jamie). After Chris confesses his love to best friend Jamie in high school, he’s told she wants to be “just friends.” Fast forward 10 years; Chris returns home, having become a successful (and attractive) record producer. While home, he discovers he still wants to be more than “just friends” and sets out to win Jamie’s heart. This program is for teens ages 13 to 18 (because of the PG-13 rating), and will include snacks.
Coming up in January programs will include Teen Life Skills: Fitness Fridays. Friday programs will feature fitness tips, nutrition guidelines, and healthy snacks.
