The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club recently announce its November RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient. Laney Paradis, left, a sixth grader from Minot Consolidated School, is described by her teacher as a hard-working, conscientious student who strives to produce high quality work. A natural teacher and role model, she is thoughtful and caring to others, often taking notice of peers who are struggling or discouraged, to lend her support and friendship.
