PHILLIPS — Several of the town’s community organizations will conduct a Christmas through the Ages tour on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Costumed guides will share information about five different eras of Christmas celebrations in different buikldings in town.
In five separate buildings, decorations, refreshments, music and costumes will depict what was typical for each historical period.
The tour will begin with the Moravians (1747) and move on to Colonial America (1800), then the Victorian period (1847-1901), through the sentimental 40s and end with the fabulous 50s.
The historical scenes are all in downtown Phillips within easy walking distance of each other.
Tour groups of limited size will begin at the Moravian site in 20 minute intervals beginning at 10:30 a.m., with the final tour at 3:10 p.m. A map will be provided, and each site will be marked with signs.
Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance.

The tour’s sponsor is the Phillips Area Community Center, and all proceeds raised will be shared equally with participating organizations.
