TURNER — Tripp Middle School’s cross-country team participated in the state meet Oct. 25 in Brunswick, facing Lewiston, Auburn, Mt. Ararat, Brunswick and Oxford Hills.
Tripp put four runners in the top 10 and another group in the top 20.
Abby Marston finished sixth overall, and Kenzie Cote nabbed eighth place.
For the boys, Logan Ouellette placed third overall, and Gabe Durazo placed fourth. The entire team secured personal records.
Coach Rebecca Webber described the state’s course as “flat and fast,” indicating the team’s work paid off after a season of “distance runs, hills, sprints, intervals, strength and core workouts and strategy.”
Webber said she is already planning for the 2019 season.
