EAST SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner has a variety of events and services scheduled for the coming weeks, including those to commemorate Veterans Day and Thanksgiving.
The church is at 50 Main St., Route 219. The Community Casserole Supper will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the church.
Salads, desserts, punch, coffee and raffle items will be featured. Donations are accepted for the meal to benefit church outreach. On Sunday, Nov. 11, the church will honor the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I during the 9 a.m. worship service and with the ringing of the church bell at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
There will be a Thanksgiving Eve light meal at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, with a service at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, the church will have two events. There will be a raffle table at the Buckfield Junior/Senior High School Holiday Craft Fair, which takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is sponsored by the Nezinscot Valley Music Boosters, with over 100 vendors and crafters.
